I'm Anurag Jha, an SEO expert in Kathmandu and Head of Marketing at Daewoo Nepal. My SEO services come down to six jobs: technical fixes, local search, online-store SEO, content that answers real questions, visibility in AI assistants, and reporting you can check. Audits start at NPR 15,000. Everything below is written so you can hold it up against any other provider's offer.
The six services
Can Google crawl, render and understand the site? Indexing, speed, mobile layout, canonical addresses, redirects, internal links, sitemap and robots rules. You get a prioritised fix list, not a 60-page PDF.
Showing up when someone nearby searches: Google Business Profile, a consistent name, address and phone number across the web, local pages and a simple way to collect reviews. For clinics, restaurants, schools, shops and service businesses.
Category and product pages, product data, filters that don't create duplicate pages, and the Daraz question: how to sell on a marketplace and still build search traffic for your own site. The Daraz problem, explained.
Keywords chosen by what the searcher wants, not volume alone. Pages and guides that answer the questions your buyers ask, each with a job and a way to measure it.
Making the business easy for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to find and quote: crawler access, structured data, answer-first writing and an llms.txt summary. How AI SEO works, or test your own site free.
Google Search Console and analytics set up under your own accounts, plus a short monthly note on what moved and why. No vanity metrics, and you own every login.
What is different about SEO in Nepal
- 01People search in three ways: English, Nepali script and Romanised Nepali. Keyword research checks how your customers actually type, not just how a tool lists keywords.
- 02Marketplaces matter. Many shoppers start on Daraz. A good plan decides what to sell there and what to build on your own site.
- 03Local search decides a lot. For restaurants, clinics and shops, the map result and Google Business Profile are a first step, not an extra.
- 04Most business sites skip the basics. Structured data is often missing and AI crawlers are sometimes blocked by accident. See the schema write-up.
- 05Pages must stay light. Many visitors are on phones and mobile networks, so speed is part of the ranking work and of the sale.
How an engagement runs
- 01Free first look. You send your website and what you sell. I check how it appears to crawlers and test real customer questions in AI assistants, then send a short summary.
- 02Audit. A complete, prioritised list of what is broken and what is worth fixing. Most sites need this first.
- 03Fixes. Built on your site, or handed to your developer with exact instructions.
- 04Ongoing work, only once the foundation is sound: content, upkeep and monthly monitoring.
Proof you can check
I built the brand's organic search from zero. The storefront went from no organic history to indexed, growing traffic and a page-two average position within two months of launch.
A Texas business brokerage. I designed and built the website and set up its technical SEO: a page and address for every listing, a self-updating sitemap, structured data and llms.txt. It is already receiving enquiries.
What it costs
Starting prices for a small site: NPR 15,000 for a one-time audit, NPR 40,000 for an audit plus implementation, and NPR 25,000 a month for ongoing work. Larger sites, more markets and heavier technical problems cost more, and you get the exact number in writing before you commit. See the SEO price in Nepal page for what moves the cost and what to ask any provider.
Who this suits, and who it doesn't
- 01Businesses with a real website that doesn't appear when customers search Google or ask ChatGPT.
- 02Online stores selling on their own site and on Daraz.
- 03Local businesses, clinics, schools and agents whose customers research before they get in touch.
- 04Teams that want a clear fix list and the scope in writing, not a monthly report of vanity numbers.
If you need guaranteed rankings, a large team, or thousands of auto-generated pages, I'm the wrong provider, and I'll say so. Here are nine checks to run on any SEO expert in Nepal, including me.
Frequently asked questions
What SEO services do you offer in Nepal?
Six: technical SEO and audits, local SEO, e-commerce SEO, content and keyword strategy, AI SEO (GEO), and reporting set up under your own accounts. Audits start at NPR 15,000, audit plus implementation at NPR 40,000, and monthly work at NPR 25,000. The pricing page has the details.
How long does SEO take to work in Nepal?
Technical fixes can show up in weeks. A brand-new site competing for a competitive term should expect 6 to 12 months for real movement; a narrow, well-targeted page can move faster. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is selling something.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and nobody honest does. What I guarantee is the work: a specific, checkable list of fixes and content, built correctly, with the scope in writing.
Do you work with small businesses?
Yes. Starting prices are for a small site such as a local business, clinic, restaurant or small online store. The first step is usually a one-time audit, so you know what to fix before committing to anything monthly.
Do you work outside Kathmandu?
Yes. Most of the work happens online, so it works for businesses anywhere in Nepal, and remotely for clients in Australia and the US.
Start with the free first look
Send me your website and one line on what you sell. I'll look at it, send back a short summary, and quote the scope in writing if it makes sense to go further.
