AI SEO — also called GEO (generative engine optimization) or AEO (answer engine optimization) — is the work of making a business easy for Google and for AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to find, understand and quote. I do it for Nepali businesses from Kathmandu. I'm also Head of Marketing at Daewoo Nepal, where I built the brand's organic search from zero, so what follows comes from doing the work rather than from a course.
What AI SEO actually is, and what it isn't
Traditional SEO gets your pages ranked as blue links. AI SEO adds a second job: making sure AI assistants can read your site, trust it, and lift a clean answer out of it. It builds on SEO rather than replacing it. A site with no technical foundation won't be cited, however well it's written.
It also isn't a guarantee. AI answers change from one run to the next and nobody controls them. What I can promise is the work: a specific, checkable set of fixes, done correctly. Anyone promising you a ChatGPT recommendation is selling something.
What I do
Can AI crawlers reach and read your site? I check robots.txt and CDN defaults — the quiet reason many Nepali sites are invisible to ChatGPT — plus indexing, rendering, and the pages that should be answering questions.
Crawlability, site architecture, speed, canonicals and internal linking: the foundation everything else depends on.
Organization, Product, FAQ and Article schema, so search engines and AI systems know exactly what each page is. Why it matters more for AI than it ever did for Google.
Pages and buyer's guides that answer the question in the first few sentences, back it with something checkable, and end the search on the page.
Your own store and the marketplace working together instead of competing — the dual-channel problem every Nepali retailer selling on both eventually hits.
A fixed set of real customer questions tested across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google every month, alongside Search Console. Answers vary, so I track the trend, not a single result.
Proof you can check
At Daewoo Nepal I built the brand's organic search from zero. The storefront went from no organic history to indexed, growing traffic and a page-two average position within two months of launch, with the technical foundation done properly from day one instead of cleaned up months later. The full story is in the Daewoo Nepal case study and the e-commerce SEO write-up. I've also done SEO consulting for two educational institutions, Advanced College of Engineering and Management and EEIC.
Who this suits
- 01Online retailers selling on their own site and Daraz.
- 02Businesses with a real website that doesn't appear when customers ask Google or ChatGPT.
- 03Institutions and service businesses whose customers research before they get in touch.
- 04Teams that want a clear, prioritised fix list rather than a monthly report of vanity numbers.
If you need guaranteed rankings or thousands of auto-generated pages, I'm the wrong person, and I'll say so.
How it works
- 01Free AI-visibility check. You send your website and what you sell. I test it the way a customer would and send back a one-page summary.
- 02Audit. A complete, prioritised list of what's broken and what's worth fixing. Most sites need this first, whether or not they continue past it.
- 03Fixes. Built on your site, or handed to your developer with exact instructions.
- 04Ongoing work, only once the foundation is sound: content and monthly monitoring. How I price it.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?
SEO is about ranking in search results. GEO (generative engine optimization) is about being cited inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews. AEO (answer engine optimization) is about structuring content so it can be lifted directly into a featured snippet, a voice answer or an AI Overview. In practice they overlap heavily and rest on one foundation: a site that crawlers can read and trust. “AI SEO” is the everyday name for the combination.
Can you make ChatGPT recommend my business?
No one can guarantee that, and I won't. What I can do is remove what's stopping it — blocked crawlers, missing structured data, thin pages, inconsistent business details — and build the pages that answer your customers' questions. Then I test with real customer questions every month, so you can see whether it's working.
How long does AI SEO take to show results in Nepal?
Longer than anyone selling it wants to tell you, and faster than doing nothing. Daewoo Nepal's storefront went from zero organic history to indexed, growing traffic and a page-two average position within two months of launch, with the technical foundation done correctly from day one. A brand-new domain competing for a genuinely competitive term should expect 6 to 12 months for real movement; a specific, narrow, well-targeted page can move faster.
Do I need a new website?
Usually not. Most problems can be fixed on the site you already have: robots rules, structured data, page structure and content. A rebuild only makes sense if the platform itself can't be made readable to crawlers.
Do you only work with businesses in Nepal?
Nepal first, but not only. I also work remotely with businesses in Australia and the US — the FAQ explains how the time difference works in practice.
How much does it cost?
It depends on scope, not a flat rate: a one-time audit is a fixed fee, ongoing work is a monthly retainer. The pricing page explains what moves the price, and I quote in writing after looking at your site.
